PURPOSE:To process plural originals under the condition suited to the respective originals and to efficiently perform a picture reading processing by extracting the picture processing condition of the original inserted in an original cassette from stored data and performing the picture reading processing. CONSTITUTION:The pictures of all the originals are read for the entire original cassettes first and original codes, and the picture processing condition is set for the respective originals and stored in a magnetic disk. The disk is inserted to this picture reader 20 and stored in an original data storage part 33 and the processing order of the original cassettes stored in a stocker is set and stored in a schedule setting part 32. A cassette carrier part 14 is driven and the prescribed original cassette is set. The cassette code of the original is discriminated by a bar code reader 16 and an original code identification part 31 retrieves original data stored in the storage part 33 by using the discriminated cassette code. Then, when the coincident cassette code is detected, the original code and the picture processing conditions of the original are extracted and the setting part 32 sets the processing order corresponding to the code. |
