PURPOSE:To provide a silver halide photosensitive material not impairing the photographic performance in the ultra-fast processing and having high sensitivity, an excellent drying property, and scratch resistance. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide photosensitive material is provided with at least a silver halide emulsion layer and a hydrophilic colloidal layer on a base, the silver halide emulsion layer contains flat silver halide grains having the aspect ratio of 3 or above, and at least one kind of the polymer latex polymerized with at least one kind of monomers having the solubility of 0.025wt.% or below to water at 25 deg.C is contained in the hydrophilic colloidal layer at the farthest position from the base.
