The present invention relates to a stadium (1) in which the ground (2) can be covered partially by a removable floor (11) produced by juxtaposing floor elements (14) side by side and end to end. The ground (2) has a buried infrastructure (7) and a plurality of retractable piles (piers) (9) bearing on the said infrastructure (7) and capable of passing through the said ground (2) under the action of operating means (10) in order to support the said floor (11) above the said ground (2). The said floor elements (14) are mounted on castors (14a) and the said stadium (1) includes storage sites (17a, 17b, 17c) arranged around the said ground (2) and capable of receiving the said floor elements (14) and is equipped with means (19, 20) for hauling the said floor elements (14) between the said storage sites (17a, 17b, 17c) and their respective positions on the said turfed ground (2). <IMAGE>
