<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the working burden for movement of a pointing device and to improve the operability of the pointing device. CONSTITUTION:The pointing device is provided with a moving state sensor circuit 3 which outputs the movement data on the X and Y directions with movement of the pointing device, a moving distance/transfer data calculator circuit 1 which calculates the moving distance between the upper left corner of a displayable area of a display and a cursor and also calculates the data transferred to the center from the upper left corner of the display based on the movement data received from the circuit 3, a pointing button state sensor circuit 5 which recognizes the center moving direction of the cursor given from an operator, an operation analyzing circuit 4 which outputs the center moving instruction of the cursor, and a transfer data control circuit 2 which moves the cursor to the upper left corner of the display based on the largest moving distance and also outputs the transfer data for movement of the cursor to the center of the display. In such a constitution, the cursor can be moved to the center of the display just with operation of only the operating instruction button of the pointing device.</p> |
