<p>PURPOSE:To enable heat fixing at a low temp. by forming a toner of a hot meltable core material contg. a thermoplastic resin and coloring agents and a shell formed to coat this core material. CONSTITUTION:The toner is a capsule toner which is composed of the hot meltable core material contg. the thermoplastic resin and the coloring agents and the shell formed to coat the core material and the main component of the shell of which consists of amorphous polyester. A recording material 30 having a toner image 31 formed by this capsule toner on its front surface is heated by the radiation heat and/or heat transmission effect from a heat source 29 in the upper part and/or lower part of paper feed guides 27, 28 and is put into the degraded state of the shell strength of the capsule toner. The image is then fixed by pressurized contact of a fixing roll 21 and a press roll 22 and is discharged outside the device. Since the outer peripheral surface of the fixing roll 21 to be brought into direct contact with the toner image 31 is provided with a release layer 25, the adhesion of the toner to the fixing roll 21, i.e., offset is prevented.</p> |
