<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of uneven colors by an external pressure. CONSTITUTION:A pen input device (including a touch panel) 4 is stuck via a peripheral spacer 3 consisting of an adhesive to one surface of the liquid crystal display element 2. The peripheral spacer 3 is so positioned as to face a peripheral seal 7 of the liquid crystal display element 2. An auxiliary seal 10 is formed to enclose a display region near the inner side of the peripheral seal 7 particularly along the seal so that the external pressure F, such as pen pressure, is stably supported by both seals 7, 10. The auxiliary seal 10 is preferably formed to a broken line form or dot form. The end edge 10a of the auxiliary seal exists preferably on the side inner (the central side of the display region) than the end edge 3a of the peripheral spacer. The element is widely applicable even to the general liquid crystal display elements not provided with the pin input device.</p> |
