<p>PURPOSE:To make the switching action of the MIM-type nonlinear element of a liq. crystal display panel to be produced highly efficient and stable. CONSTITUTION:An MIM-type nonlinear element 23 is formed on an insulating substrate 11. The first metallic electrode layer 12 is made of an alloy consisting essentially of aluminum and tantalum and further contg. chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, manganese or rhenium or the plural kinds of the metals as an additive, and the oxide film 13 consists essentially of the mixture of aluminum oxide and tantalum oxide and further contains the oxide of chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, manganese or rhenium or plural kinds of the oxides as an additive to constitute a liq. crystal display panel.</p> |
