PURPOSE:To provide versatility and to unnecessitate the operation of a caller for medium conversion concerning the mutual connection service system between different types of communication terminals and the communication node device and communication terminal used for the same. CONSTITUTION:Information elements showing the attributes of a communication terminal 50 is integrated into a message related to the establishment of a call between the communication terminal 50 and a communication node device 40 and when the refusal of communication caused by the non-coincidence of communication terminal attributes is recognized from the call incoming side communication terminal corresponding to an incoming message from the call originating side communication terminal 50 to the call incoming side communication terminal 30 at the communication node device 40, any medium to be received at the call incoming side communication terminal is selected. Then, the incoming message from the call originating side communication terminal is corrected, and this corrected incoming message is sent to the call incoming side communication terminal again. When the communication is established later, the presence of a terminated call from the call originating side communication terminal is reported to the call incoming side communication terminal by using a medium converting means 60, and the establishment of communication is reported to the call originating side communication terminal by performing medium conversion.
