PURPOSE:To enable coordinate transformation such as enlargement, reduction or rotation even when the coordinate value of font data is a decimal coordinate value or an integral coordinate value by judging whether the coordinate system of the inputted font data is different from that of an output device or not. CONSTITUTION:An input (y) coordinate value stored in a register 501 and the mesh size of font data read our of a RAM 502 are inputted to a subtracter 505, and the input (y) coordinate value is subtracted from the value of the mesh size read out of the RAM 502. When a signal outputted from a mode register 503 is '1,' the input coordinate value is passed through a selector 504 as it is and stored in a register 506 as an output coordinate value since the coordinate system of the font data is the same as the device coordinate system of the output device and it is not necessary to transform it. When the signal outputted from the mode register 503 is '0,' the subtracted result is stored in the register 506 as the output coordinate value since the coordinate system of the font data is different from the device coordinate system of the output device and it is necessary to transform it. |
