DIAGNOSTIC METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR ABNORMAL NOISE OF MACHINE

PURPOSE:To detect a machine generating abnormal noise thoroughly. CONSTITUTION:The abnormal noise diagnostic equipment comprises a first AE sensor 2 for detecting an AE signal generated from a clutch 1 for washing machine during operation thereof, a second AE sensor 3 having detection frequency different from that of the first AE sensor 2, a spectral component extracting section 100 for extracting the spectral components of high and low frequency AE signals detected by respective sensors and the driving frequency of the machine, and a spectral component deciding section 200 for comparing the extracted spectral component with a preset reference value and discriminating between normal and abnormal sounds of the machine.
