PURPOSE:To efficiently prepare reception by recognizing information such as paper exhaustion or conference participants of both of reception by previously transmitting the number of pages to the reception side in the case of returning documents such as conference materials. CONSTITUTION:An X side terminal performs transmission by controlling and informing (C and I) the number of pages in documents to be transmitted from now, and the responses of C and I from a Y side terminal are executed. When the response can be printed out, a normal document transfer sequence is started. Thus, the number of pages in the data of documents or the like to be transferred is previously communicated by the inform signal and when it can not be received, a message is displayed to a user. Therefore, since the number of pages in the data of documents such as conference materials can be previously transmitted to the reception side when transmitting the documents, the information such as paper exhaustion or conference participants of both of reception can be recognized. Accordingly, since the addition of printer paper or the like can be pressed to the user, the reception can be efficiently prepared. |
