RECORDING AND DISPLAY DEVICE AND IMAGE PROCESSOR

PURPOSE:To provide the recording and display device and image processor which do not cause an image to be deteriorated and can be reduced in size without requiring any complex reduced circuit. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 11 generates image data to be recorded on a recording medium of A4 size when recorded by a recording part with 300dpi resolution and transfers the data to the recording and display device 12. A data reception part 13 receives the sent image data and transfers them to a recording part 14. The recording part 14 records the image data so that the ratio of the resolution (e.g. 600dpi) of the recording part 14 which reduces and records the data and the resolution (e.g. 600dpi) of a recording part which can record the data to specified fixed form size is proportional to the ratio (reduction ratio) of the length of the side of the specified fixed form size (A4) and the length of the side of fixed form size (A6) smaller than the specified fixed form size of actual recording. Consequently, the outputted image is reduced without deteriorating.
