PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing a very reliable light-emitting device with a good yield wherein a small-size chip can be used. CONSTITUTION:In a method for manufacturing a light-emitting device wherein a light-emitting chip provided with a pair of a positive and a negative electrode 3, 4 which are formed on the same side is mounted across two lead frames 33, 44 which face each other and then the electrodes are electrically connected to the lead frames respectively, insulating material 6 is applied to at least one of the lead frames or is put between the lead frames. |
