PURPOSE:To improve exchange service by temporarily preventing the deviation of control information from substancially appearing in exchange processing service, etc., concerning the equalizing method of control information and the line control information transfer device of an ATM exchange processor. CONSTITUTION:The ATM exchange processor where control information is transferred through mutually non-synchronizing duplex interfaces is characterized in such a way that a communication processor is provided with a control information buffer 10, a response waiting clocking means 12, a transfer control means 14 which permits the response waiting clocking means 12 to start clocking and transfers control information decided by a transfer start pointer and a transfer end pointer to the line device at the time of control information in the control information buffer 10 and a pointer updating means 16 which updates the value of the transfer end pointer into the value indicating control information adding control information unless normal reception response is returned even when the elasping of time required for transferring control information is indicated.
