PURPOSE:To detect the physical volume of a rotating body such as torque, etc., and to stably transmit a detection signal to a fixed side extending over a long period with a high responsiveness in a state where no noise is mixed. CONSTITUTION:When the torque of a body to be measured is transmitted to C flanges 8L, 8R at both terminal sides, a distortion generating part 1a formed in a thin thickness in a cylindrical distortion generating body 1 is twisted, and shear-distortion is generated on the surface of the part. Such shear-distortion is converted into an electrical signal by a strain gage 23, and furthermore, the processing of amplification, A/D conversion, parallel-serial conversion, and modulation, etc., are applied to it at a signal processing circuit part 22, which drives by flashing a light emitting diode 21. Such flash information is converted again into the electrical signal by a photodiode 20 at the fixed side, and furthermore, the processing of waveform shaping, demodulation, and D/A conversion, etc., are applied to it, then, the torque is recorded and displayed. While, the supply of power from the fixed side to a rotary side is performed via a rotary transformer consisting of coils 16, 17, and ferrite cores 15a, 15b, etc. |
