<p>PURPOSE:To provide the new input device which makes a display directly corresponding to an input position. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal layer 4 which contains nematic liquid crystal cholesteric liquid crystal is arranged between light-transmissive substrates 2 and 7 on the side of the substrate 2 where a transparent electrode 3 is formed, and a photoconductive layer 5 is arranged on the side of the substrate 7 where a transparent electrode 6 is formed to constitute a liquid crystal element 1. The liquid crystal element 1 is irradiated on the side of the substrate 2 with light from a light pen as an indicating means. Then AC voltages corresponding to input and erasure are applied to the liquid crystal layer 4.</p> |
