PURPOSE:To enable efficient video transmission capable of transmitting the video images of plural spots within a bidirectional video transmitter in a video gateway device connected from the bi-directional video transmitter to a public digital network or the like. CONSTITUTION:The video gateway device 105 is provided with a network node device 106 composed of a modulation part, a distribution part, four demodulation parts and four mixer parts for mixing sound, a four-screen synthesizing part 107 for synthesizing four base band video signals to the video signals of one screen and a video and sound encoding/decoding device 108 with a communication function for video conferences. Thus, by performing a connection processing with an external video conference terminal, 120, the video/sound signals of the plural spots can be transmitted to an external connection destination by one gateway device. |
