PURPOSE:To accurately judge the intention of a change at every user and to provide the change intention in an easily understadable form at every user when a document group to be edited co-operatively by plural users is changed. CONSTITUTION:In this document managing device having a document managing part 3 for executing management including also change history and judging and recording an edition intention for a series of documents generated by edition, a document edition part 1 for editing the documents managed by the managing part 3, and a change history displaying part 2 for displaying the change history of the document while showing its change intention, the managing part 3 is provided with a difference detecting means 3a for detecting a difference between a document before edition and a document after edition, a change purpose judging rule retaining means 3d for retaining a change intention judging rule for judging a change intention for each user and a change purpose judging means 3b for judging a user's change intention from the difference detected by the means 3a based upon the change intention judging rule corresponding to the user concerned. |
