PURPOSE:To easily restrain temperature rise inside an optical box in a light deflector. CONSTITUTION:The optical box 21 in which a polygon mirror 27 is installed and a motor 22 consisting of a motor base 29 and an IC 30 for driving is housed is covered with a cover 31. A recessed part 31 is formed on the cover 31 above the mirror 27, and a vent hole 31d is formed at the horizontal part 31c of the recessed part 31b, then a filter 32 is fixed in the vent hole 31d. Meanwhile, an air exit 21b is provided on the bottom wall 21a of the optical box 21. When the mirror 27 is rotated, outside air is transmitted through the filter 32 to flow to the inside, and inside air is exhausted from the air exit 21b. |
