PURPOSE:To stabilize the characteristic of a sensor for a long time by a method wherein an electrode and an electrode fixation member are molded integrally and the electrode is fixed by the electrode fixation member. CONSTITUTION:In a glucose sensor 1, one side of a glucose-sensor fixation member 2 is formed as a protruding face, and a central electrode 3, a ring-shaped reference electrode 4 and a counter electrode 5 are installed on the measuring face of the protruding face in a state that they are exposed to the outside. In a state that the protruding face is covered, a fixed glucose oxidase (GOD) film 6 and a diffusion limitation film 7 are formed. Signal extraction wires 10 to 12 are connected respectively to individual electrodes in prescribed positions on the other side of the member 2. A prescribed enzyme reaction is performed by the GOD film 6, a current caused by generated H2O2 is generated across the electrodes 3, 5, and the current is taken out to the outside through the wires 10, 12. At this time, the individual electrodes are formed and manufactured integrally with the member 2 in order to fix the electrodes, and an epoxy resin is not used. Consequently, an electrode-reaction obstructing substance such as an unhardened substance or the like which is eluted from the epoxy resin is not deposited on the individual electrodes, and the characteristic of the sensor 1 is stabilized for a long time. |
