<p>PURPOSE:To accurately perform selection in the case of indicating and selecting graphic data on a screen by using a pointing device such as a mouse or the like. CONSTITUTION:As the state of the graphic data, a selectable state is provided other than a normal state which is an unselected state and a selection state which is a selected state. A distance between the pointer display of the pointing device, and the display position of the graphic data on the screen is calculated and the graphic data present in a prescribed range from the pointer display and closest to the pointer display are turned to the selectable state (step 51). Display on the screen is performed by changing the colors and shapes of the graphic data so as to discriminate whether the graphic data are in the normal state, the selectable state or the selection state (step 58).</p> |
