<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the flowability of a nonmagnetic toner, to prevent the sticking of the toner to each member and to uniformize the thickness of a toner layer by adding hydrophobic silica and melamine resin or benzoguanamine resin to the toner. CONSTITUTION:Hydrophobic silica and melamine resin or benzoguanamine resin powder are added to a nonmagnetic toner. Since the hydrophobic silica is added to the toner, the flowability of the toner is enhanced by the bearing effect of the silica and unevenness of printing density is eliminated. Since the melamine resin or benzoguanamine resin powder harder than the toner, softer than the silica and having a larger particle diameter than the silica is added, fine particles of the resin powder exist on the surfaces of the toner particles and the flocculation of the toner is prevented. Since the resin particles exist between the toner and a photosensitive drum, points of contact of the toner with the drum are lessened to reduce the adhesion between them and stable transfer efficiency is attained.</p> |
