The armature (6) of the valve (1) is connected to a diaphragm (4) in such a way that the armature (6) is frictionlessly guided axially. The connection between the armature (6) and the diaphragm (4) makes it possible for the radial distance between the armature (6) and the walls of the valve (1) to be made large enough so that contact with said wall is impossible and the armature (6) is unlikely to be blocked by soiling deposits. The valve is thus insensitive to interference and reliable in operation.
