Granular detergent compositions which have a tendency to clump or cake are coated with finely-divided secondary (2,3) alkyl sulfate surfactant to improve free-flow properties. Thus, a typical granular laundry detergent comprising one or more conventional detersive surfactants, a builder, such as zeolite or layered silicate, and various detersive adjuncts such as enzymes, bleaches, and the like, is coated with a fine dust of dry secondary (2,3) alkyl sulfate. The resulting coated granules are especially useful as fabric laundry compositions.
|
