<p>An apparatus and method to objectively measure sensory discrimination thresholds at a test site in the upper aero digestive tract of a patient. A time and pressure controlled puff of air is delivered to the input of a Y-shaped tube (19); one output branch (19b) delivers the puff of air to the patient and the other output branch (19c) delivers the puff of air to a pressure transducer (13), for measurement and display (15) of the pressure.</p> |
