Shaping process

The process serves for shaping a curved vulcanised tube. First of all, a straight tube is produced from crude rubber and then the straight tube is drawn onto a curved shaping mandrel. Then the shaping mandrel and the drawn-on tube are introduced into an autoclave for vulcanisation. Finally, the vulcanised tube is drawn off the shaping mandrel. Between the shaping mandrel and the tube there is introduced an auxiliary tube with good sliding properties, which has a low friction coefficient when sliding on the material of the shaping mandrel. The auxiliary tube likewise has a low friction coefficient in relation to the tube.
