The circular cross-cut, mitre-box and bench saw (1) has a fixed basic frame on which a benchtop (7) can pivot about a horizontal axis or be secured in its horizontally pivoted positions. The benchtop (7) supports a saw unit (24) which has an electric motor (26) and a circular saw blade (28) driven thereby. The saw unit (24) can be pivoted, tipped and secured in relation to the benchtop via a multi-axis hinge. The benchtop (7) has a saw slot (17) through which the saw blade (28) penetrates when the bench saw is in operation. On the side of the benchtop (7) facing the saw unit (24) there is a mitre-box bench (11) with its own saw slot (17) which, together with the saw unit (24), is arranged to rotate about an axis perpendicular to the benchtop. Between the mitre-box bench (11) and the benchtop (7) there is a space making it possible for the circular saw blade (28) to enter the saw slot (17) in the mitre-box saw bench (11) during mitre-box sawing without sawing into the benchtop (7). |
