STERILIZATION PROCESS USING A GAS OR VAPOUR STERILIZING MEDIUM

Current sterilization processes employing gas or vapour sterilizing media use sterilizing media whose composition is subject to fluctuations, which are attributable to the degree of filling of the sterilizer and/or atmospheric influences. In the process as per the invention the composition of the sterilizing medium is free of these influences because in a preceding step the carrier gas needed to constitute the sterilizing medium is conditioned for temperature and/or moisture and then in a succeeding step is brought into contact with an active agent to be loaded with it and thereupon is fed into a sterilization chamber. The sterilization process is particularly well suited for attaining constant and reproducible sterilization results, irrespective of atmospheric changes especially.
