A motor vehicle lift of pantograph type comprising a pair of longitudinal members (2) to be secured to the ground, a pair of raisable runways (8) onto which the vehicle is driven, a pair of uprights (4, 6) hinged together centrally and connecting each longitudinal member (2) to an overlying runway (8), and at least one pair of cylinder-piston lifting units (20), characterized in that with the pin (10) hinging together the two uprights (4, 6) of each pair there is associated the cylindrical body (18) of a cylinder-piston unit (20) of substantially horizontal axis, the rod (22) of which is provided with means (24, 26) slidable along said uprights (4, 6) and cooperating with profiled guides (28, 28') applied to them to cause said uprights to diverge and hence raise the runways (8). |
