A device for processing and/or dewatering sludge liquor from small sewerage purification plants is mounted in particular on a vehicle and has dewatering chamber-shaped units which are interconnectable by feed and return pipes, controllable valves and pumps which may be switched on and off. A dewatering container has filtration walls which separate a sludge liquor chamber on the one side from a filtrate chamber on the other side. The dewatering container may be connected by a connecting pipe having at least one feeding pump and a controllable valve to a sludge liquor chamber and filtrate chamber of a second dewatering container. An irradiation chamber is arranged in the filtrate return pipe of a dewatering container and a grit trapping arrangement is arranged in another sludge liquor feed pipe.
