The invention relates to the improved deflection of the gas pressure by means of a bending connecting rod, which is articulated by a pivoted lever on the crankcase, as tangential force onto the crankshaft by the implementation of certain connecting rod and pivoted lever lengths. By the selection of pivoted lever lengths the stroke can be lengthened or shortened, design dimensions otherwise remaining constant. By means of the combined action it is possible to increase the power output and reduce the specific fuel consumption. <IMAGE>
