GEAR FOR DOUBLE SCREW EXTRUDERS

A gear for double screw extruders has different trains of gears (3, 4) for the driven shafts (1, 2) and a common intermediate train of gears (5) which ends with one of two wheels (7, 9). In the first train of gears (3), the driven shaft (1) is driven by the wheel (9) and a coaxial shaft (10). In the second train of gears (4), the driven shaft (2) is driven by the wheel (7), two coaxial shafts (11, 12) and variable combinations of input gear (13), intermediate wheel (14) and output gear (15). Both wheels mesh directly with each other or by means of an intermediate wheel (8).
