The invention relates to a device for grinding spur or bevel gears with a rotating grinding wheel to which radial infeed movements for producing crowned flanks can be transmitted, in particular by means of an eccentric, on which infeed movements additional high-frequency oscillation movements for increasing the chip removal can be superimposed. These high-frequency oscillation movements are produced in particular by alternating admission of pressure in hydrostatic bearings.
