<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the scale of a memory capacity for a timer by setting the timer for counting an error generation time by a block unit composed of the prescribed number of picture element. CONSTITUTION:In a digital video tape recorder DVTR 20, in regard to respective pixel data inputted to an interpolation circuit 30 as video data S16, when a state where an erroneous picture element holds old data continues for a fixed time, a time-out signal S37 is transmitted from a limiter circuit 37 to a correction circuit 33 and the old data are held. In this case, in order to change the picture element which held the old data to a gray level after the fixed time, a memory 38 for which memory areas are allocated for each prescribed picture element is used. In such a manner, by providing the memory areas for respective small blocks, counting up count data stored in the area when an old data holding state continues and correcting the error as the gray level after the fixed time, the timer to be used can be constituted of the memory of a small capacity.</p> |
