The invention relates to a panel of a sliding roof or tilt-and-slide roof for vehicles, which panel is made of plastic and comprises a plate and at least one web integrally formed on the underside of said plate. The web of the panel produced by injection moulding in accordance with the internal gas pressure process has a cavity and the upper side of the plate, which upper side lies opposite the web, is formed in a manner such that it is free from sink marks. A description is furthermore given of a process for producing a plate-shaped component, preferably a panel, as well as a device which is particularly suitable therefor.
