The pulsator (1), with an e.g. electronically commutated DC motor driving a turbine in the path of the air flow, is supplied with a control voltage (U) from a controller (2) using the error signal (epsilon) from a comparator (4) of the actual air flow (Q) with a desired value (Qd) set manually (by a dashboard knob) or automatically.The actual value is computed (3) or found by table lockup as a variational function of the measured motor current (I) in amperes and speed (N) in rev/min.
