<p>A handgrip with a U-shaped grip element (1) which is pivotably mounted in bearing blocks (5) by means of bearing axles (6) is described. By means of a restoring spring (7), the grip element (1) can be moved back into an out-of-use position after use. So that severe stop noises do not occur during the restoring movement, a friction brake is provided which is composed of a preform (8) made of wear-resistant, viscoplastic synthetic material and has a bore (9) for receiving an axial region of one of the bearing axles (6), said bore being narrower than the diameter of the bearing axle (6) but permitting a relative movement between preform (8) and bearing axle (6). <IMAGE> </p> |
