<p>The amplifier has two splitters (120,121), the first separating an input signal for two paths (101,102). The second splitter is located in one path (101), and creates two more signals for paths (103,104), with one of these signals passing to an amplifier (143). A third splitter (123) receives the amplified signal and divides it for travel along respective signal paths (105,106) to two combiners (137,138). The first combiner (137) mixes its amplified and divided signal with its corresp. non-amplified counterpart, and the mixed signal is again amplified (147) and passed to the second combiner (138). The output of the second combiner is divided by a splitter (128) and applied to two paths (109,110). The first of these path signals (109) is combined (1311) with the second half of the divided input signal from splitter (120), and subsequently applied to another combiner (1312), via an amplifier (1411), for mixing with the signal from path (110), before being output (112).</p> |
