An injection port of a fuel injection valve (2) is opened in the combustion chamber (21), an ignition source (3) is provided in the vicinity of the injection port, a fuel-air mixture is ignited when fuel is injected from the fuel injection valve (2), energy of fuel jet flow is used so that produced flame may be carried on the fuel jet flow, thereby to rise penetration force, and the flame is dispersed in the combustion chamber (21).
