PURPOSE:To make it possible to mold a container suitable tor a large size battery jar in a JIS standard, lightweight compared with an ebonite product, and molded by the injection molding easily and with a high productivity, by mixing a filler to a specific propyleneethylene copolymer, furnishing a skin layer over the surface, and low-foam-molding. CONSTITUTION:The container is made of an injection-molded foamed body of a crystalline propylene-ethylene copolymer containing 1 to 20 wt% ethylene, with 5 to 40 wt% of an inorganic filler scattered evenly, with the foaming magnification 1.02 to 1.3, and a skin layer of 1 mm or more is spread over the surface layer. The content of the inorganic filler is 5 to 40 wt% to the total weight of the filler and the crystalline propylene-ethylene copolymer, being 5 to 30 wt% preferably, and between 15 and 25 wt% especially preferably. In the molding of the injection-molded container, the foaming agent, the injection condition, and the cooling condition are selected to form a skin layer of 1 mm or more over the surface layer. The content of the foaming agent is to make the foaming magnification between 1.02 and 1.3, preferably in a low foaming range between 1.05 and 1.1. |
