<p>PURPOSE:To convert organic chlorine compound into harmless organic compound by eliminating chlorine in it by reacting it with iron, tungsten, molybdenum, copper, or oxide of these. CONSTITUTION:Soil contaminated by organic chlorine compound, PCB or dioxin generated in combustion in a waste incinerating furnace, or harmful organic chlorine compound stored for a long period after use is reacted with iron, tungsten, molybdenum, copper, or oxide of these in inactive gas at 400-800 deg.C for eliminating chlorine in the organic chlorine compound to convert it into harmless organic compound. At the time of this reaction, iron chloride, tungsten chloride, molybdenum chloride, copper chloride, etc., are generated as by-products. These chlorides are easy to be vaporized (at a boiling point of 300-500 deg.C), and are easy to be dissolved in water. These chlorides, generated, are therefore guided from a dechlorination reaction tower to a scrubber to be dissolved. The dissolved chlorides are neutralization-processed to get sedimentary to be baked and reused as oxide.</p> |
