<p>PURPOSE:To reduce miss rolling when materials are bitten into a finishing mill by rupture of joined part in a continuous rolling as the materials are joined. CONSTITUTION:Rupture detecting devices 6, 8-11 to detect rupture of the materials at a joined part are mounted between a materials-joining device and a finishing mill 2, a transfer speed of the material on the upstream side is lowered temporarily by detecting rupture of the materials at the joined part to make a space between materials on the upstream side and on the downstream side, and, the setting of a finishing mill 2 is changed over from a flying setting system in a continuous rolling time to a batch rolling setting system to be set whenever each material passes through in a non-joining rolling time when the materials are not joined.</p> |
