PURPOSE:To improve keeping properties and image stability by a method wherein organic sulfonate compound of the specified benzimidazole derivative is employed as developer in the material concerned prepared by providing heat- sensitive coloring layer mainly made of leuco dye and the developer on support. CONSTITUTION:In the heat-sensitive recording material concerned prepared by providing heat-sensitive coloring layer mainly made of leuco dye and developer, which colors the leuco dye under heat, on support, organic sulfonate compound of benzimidazole represented at least with the general formula noted elsewhere, is employed as the developer. By employing the above-mentioned developer, the leuco dye can be colored by emitting protons by heating, resulting in allowing to obtain image, which hardly fades by oil and valence stock. In the formula, R1 represents hydrogen atom, alkyl group, aryl group, halogen atom or the like, R represents hydrogen atom, alkyl group, aryl group, alkoxy group or the like X represents hydrogen atom or alkyl group. |
