PURPOSE:To perform emulation of a ruled line command even if a host command has a different system by forming a local command that can be commonly used for any host command transmitted from host computers of different types. CONSTITUTION:A printer B conducting a command conversion method is provided with an exchanger consisting of an I/F control part 1 and a main control part 2 for exchanging host commands of two different systems to a common local command. The I/F control part 1 comprises an I/F input control circuit 11, a CPU 12, a first memory 13 made of a ROM, a second memory 14 made of a RAM, and a third memory 15 made of a buffer memory. The main control part 2 comprises a CPU 21, a first memory 22 made of a ROM, a second memory 23 made of a RAM, a ruled line drawing mechanism 24, a frame memory 25 for a bit image, and a printing part 26. |
