PURPOSE:To provide a method for accurately measuring the nip state of the rotary cylinders of a printing press by easy work and a measuring inspection piece highly adaptable to this method. CONSTITUTION:A viscous substance is applied to an inspection piece 10 and the coated inspection piece is inserted and held in the nip part between rotary cylinders and the viscous substance is pressurized to be allowed to gradually penetrate in recessed parts 14 and, after a prescribed time has elapsed, the inspection piece is pulled out of the nip part to measure nip width copied as an immersion mark by graduations 12. |
