PURPOSE:To install cylinder type inflators whose lengths are different from each other onto most of all airbag devices for front passenger seat. CONSTITUTION:An airbag 14 is folded in a container 12 to be stored, and an inflator 18 is inserted into an opening 22 in the container 12. Cut parts 70, 72 are formed at an inflator insert hole (opening) 22, and a slit 72 is extensively- formed in a front/rear direction of the container 12 so as to reach a bolt hole 28 at a container back surface. It is thus possible to mount cylinder type inflators whose lengths are different from each other onto the airbag device for front passenger seat for easy container design as far as the intervals of bolts at the peripheral surface of the inflator are constant. It is also possible to reduce the number of members which constitute the container, and a container manufacturing cost significantly. |
