PURPOSE:To develop a mud material effective for extending the depth of iron spout, uniformizing the structural strength in the iron spout as far as possible at a high level for different temperatures at different depths, improving the abrasion resistance throughout the whole depth range, remarkably improving the durability in combination with the chemical ablation caused by the component constituting the material, reducing the labor for the discharge of iron slag, improving the working environment and prolonging the furnace life. CONSTITUTION:The mud material is produced by compounding a conventional refractory aggregate for mud material with (A) 1-8wt.% of functional phenolic resin fine particles as a sintering material, (B) 1-12wt.% of AN-Si alloy powder or 1-12wt.% of metallic Al powder and metallic Si powder in total and (C) 8-20wt.% of a novolak phenolic resin as a sintering binder. |
