PURPOSE:To provide a felt-tip pen felt core material having excellent mechanical characteristics such as writing quality, rigidity, etc., and a method for manufacturing the same. CONSTITUTION:A felt-tip pen felt core material comprises a front surface layer 5 made of a complicated web of high density of short fiber 1/thermoplastic resin 2, and a central layer 6 made of a complicated web of low density of short fiber/thermoplastic resin to be laminated and connected and containing many interconnected pores. A method for manufacturing the core material comprises the step of forming the complicated web of dry or wet complicated short fiber/thermoplastic resin by hot pressing. |
