PURPOSE:To improve recording reproducing properties and keeping stability of an optical recording medium, by a method wherein a compound to be selected out of aminium and diimmonium salt compounds which are represented by a specific general formula is allowed to hold into an organic chlorine recording layer. CONSTITUTION:In an optical recording medium such as an optical disc or anoptical card, a compound to be selected out of aminium and diimmonium salt compunds which are represented respectively by a general formula as stated in the separate paragraph is allowed to hold into an organic chlorine recording layer. In the formula, X represents a negative ion, R1-R8 represent a 1-8C alkyl group or an alkoxy alkyl group or an alkenyl group and R9-R12 represent hydrogen atom or a halogen atom or one organic residue. In the above- mentioned, aminium and diimmonium salt compounds the maximum absorbing wave length is at least 90000nm and a light absorbing coefficient possesses such a high absorbing peak as from scores of thousands to hundreds of thousands. Then a near infrared ray absorbing coloring matter is used jointly with those at the same time. |
