PURPOSE:To obtain a good image in which a tone jump is not outstanding. CONSTITUTION:Input image data fed into a gradation conversion table 30 are made N bits data, and random number data output from a random number generator 32 are made K bits data (M>=K). An adder 36 adds the random data to the subordinate K bits of M bits image data and outputs the superordinate L bits (L>(M-K)) of the result of the addition as output image data so that the subordinate bit data of the output image data are diffused to form an image in which a tone jump is not outstanding. |
